Silent Night – Truce on Christmas Eve 1914
WarGaming and Extra History are working together again. Ad they bring us a story about Silent Night. Silent night was a night before Christmas, Christamas Eve. And it happened in 1914.
A night of truce, a nigt of armistice between two enemy sides. In World War I on 24th of december german and british armies stoped fighting. On scene steped battle of singing, and after some time they was singing together on some way. Both armies recived gift from royal families and their families also. Soldiers exchanged their gift with yesterday’s enemies. But, there was a generals who needed to win a war, so truce lasted somewhere a day somewhere a few more. But war have been continued.
